This is a private reference site, not the Alamance County Sheriff's Office, the detention center, the courts, NCDAC, BOP, or ICE. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release a detainee, post bond, schedule a visit, or pull an official booking, warrant, court, or jail record. Use the official office or locator that matches the record you need.

Written sheriff public-records requests may be mailed to Alamance County Sheriff's Office, ATTN: Public Records Requests, 109 S. Maple Street, Graham, NC 27253. The sheriff also provides an online records request form at form.jotform.com/212786151052047. Fees are based on actual costs and should be communicated before fulfillment. The sheriff's records page is at sheriff.alamancecountync.gov/services/public-records/.

Use these routes based on the type of information you are trying to find:

  • For someone held in the county jail, use the jail inmate records guide, the Alamance P2C roster at apps.alamance-nc.com/p2c/jailinmates.aspx, or call the detention center at 336-570-6317.
  • For booking photos or roster photo questions, use the jail roster mugshots page and verify any official record request with the sheriff's written records process.
  • For criminal charges, court dates, warrants, or formal case records after an arrest, use court records after a jail arrest. The Clerk of Superior Court is 336-570-5200, the criminal courthouse is 336-570-5202, magistrates are 336-570-5219, and District Attorney Sean Boone's District 17 office is 336-570-5210.
  • For facility details, use the Alamance County Detention Center page and the sheriff's detention-center page at sheriff.alamancecountync.gov/divisions/detention-center/.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, probationer, or parolee, use the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction offender locator rather than the county jail roster.
  • For a federal or immigration detainee, use the BOP inmate locator, ICE ODLS, or the ICE facility page for Alamance County Detention Center.

North Carolina public-records law begins with Chapter 132 and G.S. 132-1. Criminal investigation and criminal intelligence records have a separate caveat under G.S. 132-1.4. The sheriff routes arrest-warrant and search-warrant requests to the Alamance County Clerk's Office or the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts, not through the sheriff records form.
